WHEN THE MUSE HITS YOU, HIT BACK...OR WHY I HAVE NOT GONE TO BED YET AND IT'S 5:45AM
What was supposed to be an "easy episode" of First Person, Plural this week turned creative at the last minute and I've just put the finishing touches on it. Well, I don't know if the piece works or not, but I've decided to set up the sound files so people can listen to it when they want (like we do with the featured reruns, only these links will be permanently on the webpage.)
Basically, I played with audio pastiche and put together a meditation about our thoughts and feelings regarding media. I'm calling "Meditations on Media in Five Ws: Who and What AND When, Where and Why (2 sound files). Carl's music provides the background -- a 20:22 minute piece he composed and performed called Riviera. Among the pastiched clips are excerpts from everthing from Women Who Love Too Much to Natural Born Killers. Anyway, hard to describe -- easier to point to webpage where you can listen.
Let me know what you think.
Well, maybe I should get some sleep, eh?
Good night.
