While US school boards are sending letters to parents demonizing fat kids as a response to the news that kids are getting fatter, Canadian schools decided to have the kids break the hokey pokey world record. Uh, put me down for mixed feelings.
When CTV covered this (can't find anything about it on their website), they interviewed physicians lamenting childhood obesity. I saw this covered on the APTN as well and, surprise, surprise, they didn't mention obesity at all. Rather, they celebrated the kids breaking the record and then said that it was meant to promote physical activity among children.
